This has had a disparate impact on people of color, the elderly, and other disadvantaged or vulnerable populations—and it's happening in exactly the places that claim to care most about supporting these individuals.

The Immovable object vs. irresistible force games sure are in play in Denver the last few years, like they've been running in SF, LA and even Seattle & Portland. More affordable housing in places like Fort Collins and Colorado Springs are showing substantial growth currently, along with significant price increases. And much higher taxes to cover the desired additional services like better opportunities, a cleaner environment, and better sick leaves etc. are pretty much inevitable as we've seen in SF, LA, etc. Weed taxes have helped but only a little. One must pay the piper, supply & demand must balance on the longer term - expect lots more blame games, relative fascism, hate and noise as those games move forward. -ng-
