On the bitcoin thing for those interested. It is very compelling and interesting, here is a bit of what I have learned in a short time.

I would not bet the farm on it, but at this point, I am really glad I own some. They are only going to allow 21 million to be made so there will be no 'printing' of bitcoin.

It is already being used by a number of large companies. You can order from someone like Amazon or Home Depot and pay in bitcoin so there is an acceptance that is growing and it is global. This latest rise in price seems to me to be fueled by 2 things, the halving effect, and Chinese escaping capital controls. The halving is where the number of new bitcoins being created will be cut in half starting this month. Capital controls, I think all of us here (where is here by the way?) understand what that is.

There are a number of ways to calculate what a bitcoin might be worth if it continues to catch fire. As I pointed out, they are already inherently rare because of limited production. Each bitcoin can be broken down to 1/100,000,000 unit. If you were to value that unit equal to a penny, that would put the value of a single bitcoin at 1,000,000.

I would think with the way we throw money around here at mining stocks, throw a little at bitcoin for a potential huge payoff would be interesting to some.I have this link here to where I have my bitcoin stored at. It can be moved at any time , even printed out and kept in a safe. If you use the link, we both get like a free 10 bucks worth if you by over 100 dollars of bitcoin. Not trying to start a business here, just offering it to help anyone who has any interest, lol.

One last thing, you can buy/sell any amount of bitcoin and from many of the larger currencies.

Below is the link for the free 10 bucks approx, it is to Coinbase which is one of the best know, or the best known place to bu/sell from. They have other options there to explore as well for someone that wanted to trade it more actively.

If anyone has questions, feel free to ask, I am no expert at this point, just learning, but will help with what i know. As I said, I am glad I have at least some. I may continue to add going forward as well.
