when you are short puts for $4 you are on the hook to buy the underlying at $4 no mater what the price.

I am >potentially< on the hook but I have no money out of pocket. I don't even need any cash in my account because my margin buying power covers the potential assignment. No cost to me up front.

Make no mistake, you are bullish on AMD

Please don't tell me my business. While I am comfortably retired and my material needs are quite simple, I trade options to fund the major projects I have going on down here on the ranch. So I am not bullish on AMD in the sense you mean. I believe AMD may go up, remain flat or go down at a slow rate that will allow me to roll Puts out and down. So yes, a rising stock price does work for me, but so does a flat and slowly dropping price. Why isn't that equally neutral or bearish?
