Well, I am in the top 0.1%, if you believe the statistics, and I am doing great and loving retirement. But stock market wealth is not the same as the economy. Now that I don't ever have to touch my principal, I can afford to wait out a 50% loss, because my income doesn't change much. But what about the other 99.9%? Their income is tied to their jobs and jobs growth is non-existent for high paying full time jobs. My kids are millennials and they are employed, but you wouldn't believe the stories I hear about their friends. That's a lost generation, if ever there was one. This economy is not producing jobs of high quality. All it produces is part time low wage jobs and more dependency on the government. over 100M people are on gov't assistance of some kind. 51% of the labor force does not work. How sustainable is that? Who will pay for all of this?

I won't. I pay very little taxes, because I'm now in a much lower bracket with my passive long term income from my portfolio holdings. I sure paid an arm and a leg when I was employed, though. However, there's not many like me left. Eventually, you Socialists will run out of people to foot the bill. Then what?
