The biggest mistake Donald Trump has made is that he said publicly he would most likely replace the Fed Chairperson after her term ended. That left an opening for the Clintons and Obama to cozy up with Janet Yellen and provide some assurances if Yellen plays ball and keeps the Market elevated with no rate hikes prior to the election.

My guess is that it is now in Yellen's self-interest to do her best to keep the market up into the election and put up with some inflation.

Trump can still win in November, but the task will become harder.
