Jafco, Joe ans all a sad day on SI, see link: Message 3059223 I am sorry that I am not able to add to to Tim Hall's discussion on BLM lands and the experiences of Mineral Rights, I suspect that it would be against SI RULES. Chucauptbelieves(knows)thatSFAworksonthewashesoftheHassy...Thereisgoldonthelands. P.S.- BLM land has a cost factor based on CLAIM size, granted that a $100.00 is about it. Actually it is a little more and there is a $9.00 per claim county filing charge. So figure a per claim charge at $130ish.But here is the problem a claim can be several different sizes. From 20 acres of placer (or 20.66 acres of Hard Rock) to 160 acres of Placer Claim for a Group Association ( Maximum ) and even Corp accounts and 4 person in between at 40-80 acres. So, the best deal is for some enterprising old soul, hummn, to get 8 US CITIZENS together and form a placer association and for the same $130ish ..get to claim 160 acres!!! That is...if one can find any good placer land AVAILABLE in a subject area to claim. One needs a real esrtate background, a computer knowledge background, and a/an Boy Scout/Eagle Scout background to get the job done ( If it is ever DONE, I might add!). So that is the facts as I see them. BTW, there is little good land available in the Wickenburg washes , now. I have seen Yuppie Couples in the BLM Reading Room, looking for homesites, even tho there is no current hmestead federal program as of a 2 year moratorium as Mineral Claims in 5 years can be applied, usually, to fee simple / rather Quit Claim Type of Pattented Deeds. Mineral Rights do in fact Look like deeds. A few miles from the Oro Grande a 500 House? with several streets now built and one model home( Remax is selling) is going up off I-93 at intersection State 89. It is very desirable LAND out there...House with views are now all over the washes. Unbelievable. Disclaimer added here, you all know what i mean. |
