O.K., so let's say the attack on the Liberty had been done purposely by the Israelis to try and draw the U.S. into the 1967 war. How should we have reacted? Should we have attacked Israel or declared Israel an enemy of the U.S.? Should we have cut off ALL support for Israel? Israel was our strongest and ONLY real ally in the Middle East, so you tell me how it should have been handled.
