My understanding is Intel has great yield for P II 300 now. the time is mature to push P II 233 to entry level PC.

Just wait to see the price break in March. P II 300 will be discounted when P II 350 is ready.

Same will happen to P II 350 when P II 450 is ready by mid 98.

Intel has been aggressivingly pushing out faster technology for years. I believe this is the best way to treat your competitors too. By end of 98, P II 233 will probably disapear form Intel product line. The entry level P II used in sub 1000 pcs will have 266 mhz.
