Great post. Please send this one directly to StockMan. He is clueless about packaging and packaging costs. He doesn't realize that any $'s AMD can get from selling a 166 or 200 goes straight to the bottom line. He doesn't realize that the 166/200/233 all come from the same wafer. Anything to drive the revenue per wafer higher is a good thing. In essence, revenue is revenue, whether you sell it for $150 or $50. The cost of a PGA package, by the way, is below $30. So unless 166MHZ parts drop below $50, AMD will still make money on the part.
