I just took the data from an XBI working file I have in Google Sheets and pasted it for analysis into Excel. Data only goes back to 2015 (Jan 2) and includes only current components of XBI (+ BXLT) not the bigger group for 2015. Results are during mainly bear market periods for longer measuring periods and most results are negative. Using a moving average of average number of gainers in the index, ONLY an average of 60-69 gainers (over 10 days) results in positive returns at 8 and 13 weeks. That is the highest average range btw. So bios need higher prices to go higher.
