Mike, I agree on the Earnhardt comment!! Just wish he had won at least 1 race this year. This dry spell is going on far too long and Gordon's winning streak, while impressive, is becoming annoying. Hopefully Earnhardt hasn't run out of fuel like it looks like has happened to good ole DW. He is one of my long time favorites from childhood. I remember watching him in the Gatorade 88 car in Virginia in the 70s.

Texas is the first Winston cup race I've been too and loved it. Traffic was a bear, but we had a camper and just hung out for awhile and then went home. It wasn't too bad. It was just very disorganized. The other races weren't bad though. Hopefully next year they will do better.

Kansas City isn't that far from me so maybe I can make a race or two. Hopefully they won't have trouble getting a Winston Cup date. The competition for dates is getting fierce. Texas tried for their second and lost.

I've been dying to go to a race at Talladega someday. Well, I could go on and on about Nascar stuff unrelated specifically to TRK and this thread. I have a strange knack for stats, etc. You can email me at kgdee@txcc.net if you want to bs some more about drivers, races, etc. Glad to have someone active on this thread.
