When I first made my transition from the straight society to the hippie counterculture around 1965 I bought Bob Dylan's album Highway 61 revisited. That is the only album I ever completely wore out playing it so much. The entire album was sensational and very unique and revolutionary for the time.

My two favorite songs on that album were like a Rolling Stone and Queen Jane approximately.

It's funny the albums that I associate with my metamorphosis from a conforming Caterpillar to a free psychedelic butterfly. I was there pretty much right on day one and saw clearly it was my cup of tea. Along with Bob Dylan, who was definitely the king, the Jefferson airplane had a huge impact on me.

I remember how we waited so eagerly for blonde on blonde. That was a sensational album as well. It wasn't the Beatles that were king in my group, it was Bob Dylan.
