LT, thought you said you will not post till we have a rally. So if you jinx this rally, you do understand you face the prospect of not ever wanting to return here. Serious business indeed! May we see LT from here on out.

Greenman, tomorrow is the last day for tax loss type switching, which was what I did with MDCO for GW today. There are a handful of drillers not rallying today, GW being one of them. GW is a favorite among small investors so I would not be surprise if people taking tax loss on GW today. In a high anxiety bottoming situation like right now, the big guns tend to lead the rally. SLB is the biggest gun in oil services so funds will snatch it up first. If the rally is sustainable, then the money will spill over to everybody. PTEN's split is actually old news. They already talked about it in their last quarterly earning mailing to shareholders. It is always positive to have a glimse of the fierce momentum play that was PTEN today. Actually thought about shorting PTEN when it hit 40 (20% gain in a day? C'mmon) but would have to sell long positions to do that. Look for the hardest hit land drillers to bounce back with vengience. My personal bet is on UTI.
