On July 1, 2014, the Census Bureau estimated that the U.S. population of Whites was about 246,660,710. Likewise, the U.S. population of Blacks was estimated at about 42,158,238. The estimates of both races also include the respective populations of Hispanic ethnicity within both races (e.g., White Hispanics and Black Hispanics). The data can be verified here [1]. The data indicate that Whites outnumbered Blacks by 5.851 to 1 in 2014. In other words, the White population was about 5.851 times the Black population in 2014.
Now, let's refer to Table 43 of the FBI UCR of 2014. In the table, refer to the crime arrest category labeled "Robbery", which is one of the 30 categories of crime arrests that the FBI tracks. Again, the table is located here [2].
Table 43 indicates that 31,354 Whites were reportedly arrested for robbery in 2014, whereas 41,379 Blacks were reportedly arrested for robbery.
Notice that although Whites outnumbered Blacks by 5.851 to 1 in 2014, Blacks were still arrested for robbery at 1.32 times the number of White arrests! That is known as a raw comparison, but it is not a proportional comparison because of the disparity in the two population sizes. Ergo, for a proportional comparison, it is necessary to set the respective populations of the two races equal to 1. In other words, how would the robbery arrests manifest if the Black population were equal to the White population? There are numerous ways to solve this problem mathematically and arrive at the correct answer, but let's just pick one. We can simply multiply the number of Blacks arrested for robbery in 2014 by the White population multiple of 5.851. So, in a Black population of 246,660,710, which is the same as the White population in 2014, the number of Blacks arrested for robbery would total about 242,101 instead of 41,379. That is a staggering 7.72 times the number of White arrests, as the table below clearly shows!
Regarding the other 29 categories of crime, the same mathematical procedure is used to determine the Black arrest rates for each one.
The only category where Whites were arrested at a slightly-higher rate than Blacks was for DUI, but that is only because Hispanic arrests were lumped in with White (and Black) arrests. Once the Hispanic DUI rates are removed from both, the Black arrest rate for DUI would also easily surpass the White arrest rate.
If you still don't understand the concept of proportionality and the other basic math involved, ask someone else to explain it to you. I do not care to continue educating you with subject matter that you should have learned and mastered in elementary school.
Likewise, if you still deny that Black arrest rates dwarf White arrest rates, you are clueless and dense beyond hope.
