SXB, my 1998 market prediction is below. This is one person's opinion and worth about 10 cents:

1. Market top in January or early February (I favor early January). Top will be in 8000 to 8500 range.
2. Top is marked by a one day crash.
3. Market enters a long decline to the 6000 area. Bottom will be in late 1998 or maybe not until 1999. Not a big panic, just a long continued decline with a few dead cat bounces.
4. High flier stocks will be hit hard as unrealistic PE's are dumped back to earth.
5. The Dow will not see 10000 this century.
