Orhan or anyone, What do you think about selling puts against a short position? I was short AVNT and was looking at the premium of the Jan 17 1/2 puts. Very high. I know that this can work to limit some return if the stock makes a big sudden move down, but can be a short term bonus if it trends the same or higher. I had the stock short at 18 1/2 and the put premium of 1 3/4. If they put the stock to me it would cover the short at a 1 point profit, plus the option premium. I didn't use this as I had closed my short at 17 11/16 on Mon, but I am trying to evaluate this strategy for the future for very short term(less than 3 weeks to exp.) trading. Feedback welcome. Dave
