Cesar Puspos and Jerome Alo. Reading the Wall Street article posted as #71731 on misc.invest.canada, I can't see how these two could not have been at the heart of the Bre-X fraud. Puspos was alone at night in the Samarinda warehouse where all the Bre-X samples were stored. According to the Bre-X accountant, who shared the office with Puspos, he was there opening the sample bags every evening and doing calculations, and he stayed there long into the night after the accountant left. All bags going to the sampling labs were held until he had a chance to "look" at the bags. Alo was outside the burning record shack, and made only meagre attempts to put out the fire, and ordered the shack remains bulldozed before anyone could look for remnants of the records or other contents of the shack. There are probably others such as Puspos' brother involved, but Cesar Puspos and Jerome Alo were obviously at the heart of the fraud. Now Cesar is reported to be "angry and confused" that the Philippines FBI and the RCMP have been questioning him. Both Puspos and Alo refuse to take lie-detector tests. May these two rot in hell. Though they may escape earthly penalties, may they one day answer for all the lives they have ruined.
