The referenced article is biased & as conclusionary as it claims ORCL's management to be in an effort to explain the disappointment in earnings. It is interesting to note how many pundits explain ORCL's problems as mis-focus on the NC, as if it is of significance to the bottom line. Such explanation evidences ignorance of ORCL's businesses & where the real problem may lie. If ORCL "wasn't focusing" on the NC, would 4Q numbers have been better? I don't believe so. The article is as much a piece of crap as the Rimer article of last week. These journalists don't know what they're talking about, though they'd like to believe it. This is net journalism. Its free; you get what you pay for.
