Westhaven Ventures (WHN-V) June 23, '16 is pleased to announce that it has completed drilling on its 19,012 hectare Shovelnose gold property, located within the prospective Spences Bridge Gold Belt (SBGB), approximately 30 kilometres south of Merritt, British Columbia.

The drill program consisted of 5 holes, totaling 1,148 metres of diamond drilling. The goal of this drill program was to further expand and outline the extent of the newly recognized epithermal gold system present on the property. Drilling to date at the Tower Zone delineated a highly anomalous silicified zone or cap where a sub horizontal near surface zone grading 0.54 g/t Au and 4.77 g/t Ag over 50.4 metres, which includes 13.7 metres grading 0.91 g/t Au and 6.65 g/t Ag, was intersected.

Tower Zone

Hole SN16-01 (122m) targeted a possible near surface feeder zone vector in the Tower Zone. Drilling intersected quartz veining and breccia filling in rhyolite tuffs. Hole SN16-04 (176m) targeted a magnetic low feature on the Tower creek fault, a northwest trending structural feature situated between the Tower and MIK Zones. Drilling intersected a structural break bounded by a zone of silicification. Hole SN16-05 (426m) was collared in the MIK Zone and drilled across the Tower Creek fault targeting the Tower Zone feeder zone at a depth of 350 metres. Drilling intersected extensive quartz veining and stockwork bounded on both sides by carbonate veining.

Alpine Zone

The Alpine Zone, delineated as a 1,200 metre long northerly trending chargeability anomaly was discovered in 2015 by a geophysical IP survey. The anomaly was tested by one drill hole in 2015 identifying a near surface horizontal gold zone similar to the Tower Zone; grading 0.23 g/t Au over 44 metres. Holes SN16-02 (260m) and SN16-03 (164m) targeted this chargeability target along strike intersecting rhyolite tuffs and flows containing epithermal alteration including chalcedonic quartz veining and kaolinitic clay alteration.

All samples have been submitted to the lab for assaying and will be reported when analyses for all holes are received.
