From the last DOJ news, I'd say the long arm of the law, ilk division, is following the news ok. Maybe they got somebody watching here, maybe not, but somehow it looks like nobody's quite as stupid as Bill & Co. would have everyone believe. I'd still like to do some experiments of my own, nobody seems to have gone into detail on the 228 files that come with IE and what they mean, but I couldn't do more that a surface gloss on that anyway. Now that I've split the OS into its own partition and don't install apps on C:, it's very interesting to watch all the junk being stuffed in C:\windows when you install Office or something.

P.S. Thanks for the personal perspective on the 3D stuff Chaz, like I said elsewhere this was one story that broke through my general mordant bemusement at the circus and made me see red. I'm sure there'll be some explanation from the Microphile faction about how that's just the way the world works, Microsoft is just taking us where we want to go, blah blah blah. Someone else will have to answer that, I can't risk it.
