engineer, a very nice post which I think was confirmed by India's DoTComo decision today--you gotta go WLL and do it with something that works, who you gonna call? The mighty Q of course! As you all know, this tech stuff is not in my hip pocket, but, true confessions: I ran a software start-up company! Didn't know diddly boo-bop about what the guys in the next room were doing (just tried to raise $$ and sell the code) but I came away with a mighty healthy respect (and fear) of what this technology animal is. Among other things, s*hit that works, now, today, no kidding, no bugs (well, just a few) is a rare animal. No way can I believe that major telecoms are going to bet the ranch on Ericys-trust-me-it's-just-around-the-corner WCDMA-B or whatever they are going to call it. The Q done paid the dues and now it's time to collect. That said, did anyone get the license plate of the truck that crushed us from 71 to 45? Huge compliments to all who had the cajones to load up again. Me? I decided to play a bucket full of golf and not look at the god damned market. I call it the Graham, Dodd, and Ostrich approach. With all appropriate apologies to the off-topic critics, thanks to all of you for your irreverent, comical, sarcastic, fanatical, zany, and otherwise wonderful posts. I figure three cigars in 18 holes has my ass toasted far beyond micro-volts of photonic RF waves particularly due to the orthogonal sectorization of a good Dunhill, but what the hell, I dropped a 12 footer the other day and life is good. Happy New Year to y'all. Surfer Mike. |
