I know what affirmative action means. I am asking for proof that it is used, much less on the scale that you claim.

You're not the sharpest pencil in the box, are you? If it weren't used or important, there wouldn't be federal courts, state supreme courts, and the SCOTUS having to decide the issue time and time again. For that matter, it wouldn't even be a topic of conversation. You're just angry because you know that affirmative action is charity for Blacks and Hispanics. If White standards aren't waived for Blacks and Hispanics, very few would be admitted to colleges or have jobs that require more intelligence than picking up garbage or cleaning a urinal.
