If you are ANY student of the United States then you know the country was BUILT on multiculturalism.

That's incorrect. For most of its history (and discounting the noxious issue of slavery and the mistreatment of natives), people from diverse cultures and languages came to the US to become Americans. It was assimilation, not multiculturalism, that built the country. And that meant learning the language (English), adapting to and embracing our culture of freedom and entrepreneurial free enterprise and the rule of constitutional law. The whole uniquely American melting pot thing really worked.

Multiculturalism is bull shit, when it's defined to mean that all cultures are equal in value and importance. As this country embraces it and rejects assimilation to our founding values and western culture, it inevitably leads to polarization, tribalism and eventual dissolution of the country. That's how you get sharia law, press 1 for English, etc. and so on. It's happening now, and is the reason that so many people are really pissed off. And that's why Trump's slogan of "Make America great again" resonates as it has.
