Reports were confirmed on Saturday morning that the Federal Bureau of Investigation interviewed Democratic presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for over three hours at FBI headquarters regarding the unsecured email server that she used and sent classified information over while Secretary of State.

Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill released the following statement regarding the three and a half hour meeting (as read on Fox News):

Secretary Clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her email arrangements while she was Secretary. She is pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Department of Justice in bringing this review to a conclusion. Out of respect for the investigative process, she will not comment further on her interview.

FBI Director James Comey told Fox News’s Catherine Herridge in May that he was not familiar with the term used by the Clinton camp, “security inquiry.” He told Herridge that “We do investigations here at the FBI.”

The interview was anticipated as reports came out that Clinton was scheduled for a meeting. Key witness Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former Chief of Staff in the State Department, was seen leaving Clinton’s residence this morning around 10 a.m. according to Fox News, which showed video of Mills leaving the home.

This week Hillary Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, took a private meetingwith Attorney General Loretta Lynch that brought serious scrutiny over the appearance of impropriety. The meeting occurred aboard a plane on a Phoenix airstrip and comes as the FBI, under the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the former Secretary’s use of an unsecured email server during her time as head of the State Department.

Lynch claimed that the conversation didn’t include talk of the email server scandal and they spoke of grandkids, Clinton playing golf during his time in Phoenix, and former AG Janet Reno. The 30 minute meeting was discovered when a source tipped off local news outlet ABC15.

The Arizona news anchor that broke the story recounted the encounter on Fox News, “The former president steps into her plane. They then speak for 30 minutes privately. The FBI there on the tarmac instructing everybody around ‘no photos, no pictures, no cell phones.’”

FNC’s Herridge reported on Friday that a “well placed source” in the FBI told the news outlet that FBI agents are “livid” about the meeting between the Bill Clinton and Lynch. The former President, husband of the former Secretary, “at the very least may be a a witness in this public corruption probe.”>
