| | | Here is my take on John's suspension:
I find it very disturbing that John was singled out for a suspension for posting published news about black on white crime.
I fully believe that like all privately owned websites, management has a unilateral right to censor, ban or suspend whatever and whomever they please. BUT, If they selectively single out (mostly) posters on one side of the political spectrum to "punish," for supposedly breaking a Google advertising rule, they lose their own credibility.
Among the Google rules they cited to John is this one:
"Google ads are not permitted on sites that contain harassing or bullying content or content that incites hatred or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status or sexual orientation/gender identity.
So Loco....let's not say any more about this in public, but you KNOW that rule was ignored in posts directed at me on the sewer thread for literally years, with no suspensions or bans handed out. (I SUSPECT that perhaps a private warning, plus deletions, may have stopped it for the time being.) |
