Anyone interested in why Iomega went down so hard this month?

Listen up, for I'll say this only once.

Vickers just released yesterday the current institutional ownership of Iomega.

Some pertinent figures:

Institutional ownership: 37MM shares or 28.6%

Number of institutions owning Iomega: 176

Number of new positions in the stock: 74
Number of sold out positions: 35
Increase in institutional ownership: 9,356,281 shares

Now, that's all pretty good news. So, why did we drop?

You can thank our old friends at Fidelity, most likely.

Probably due to tax selling, they reduced their position by 1.1 MM shares.

Remember how light the volume's been the last month? No one will catch a falling Fidelity knife.

As for the other top holders of Iomega, Pimco actually picked up 600K more (now owns 2.1MM shares).

The rest of the top ten held on -- no negative positions.

Anyway, this madness will end tomorrow. Watch for Fidelity to buy them back starting possibly as soon as Friday.

Anyway, of course, while the above numbers are FACTS, the opinion expressed herein is strictly my own.
