M2-166Mhz would cost you $110 or less. Then, get either TXPro ($60) or Asus SP-97V ($85) and run M2-166Mhz on 83Mhz bus speed to see for yourself how fast is PII-266 over it?

Without the 2MB L3 cache, PII is still a crippled chip. Even with the extra 100Mhz from PII, I still doubt if your PII-266 could be faster than my M2-166 on daily applications.

Would you please give it a try and sell your PII before it depreciates 60% in the next few months? :)
