Engineer, If possible give us some comparison of cdma vs what ERICY proposes , wcdma. Can something like this be compared to say the amount of data a floppy disc holds compared to a cd-rom ? How about a single speed cd-rom vs the 32x cd-rom ? Both examples show just how fast technology can move . IS-95 is 1.25 and ERICY's proposal of w-cdma is 5mhz wide so it would seem logical with more band width one may be able to offer more but of course have more problems controling it. With less than 1 % of cellular phone calls being used for data I don't think ERICY is trying to push this standard to capture the data market ? I think if the standard gets approved it's market will be the fixed wll.
