I never have the gun on my person when in a vehicle.....always under the seat or in the trunk...on the few times it has happened.....I always keep my hands in plain view...I tell the cop where the weapon is (only if under the seat) and I ask him it would be OK for me to reach into my pocket for my wallet containing my license and glove box for the registration....I leave it up to the cop to proceed in the manner he feels safest....never had a problem and one cop even thanked me for "playing it smart"..
