That singer Tarkan was named after Tarkan of Sezgin Burak's "Tarkan". Sezgin and his wife named one of their sons Tarkan. We thought using Tarkan could lead to "Tarzan" or "Tar Can" teasing so we opted for Tarken. He liked his name which made him unique. He had the character to carry it so never was teased and on the contrary was admired universally. There's a Tarken Moore in Canada named after our Tarken because his mother who was at Yamate school in Japan with Tarken admired our son who was 16 at the time. Here is Tarken Moore with somebody else you might recognize [see below]. Tarken on the viewer's left. The other guy was born in Ottawa a few years before our Tarken who was born in Ottawa in 1976. Tarken Moore is half Korean with Edmonton mother. It's a small world these days. Vegetarianism is madness for ignorant people. Mqurice
