I added the anti-vegetarian sentiment just to pop it in, more or less as a signature line. It's one of the great stupidities that humans get up to from time to time. From a cognitive harm point of view, it's much worse than lead was in petrol. People die from lack of vitamin B12. They also need the other things from animal sources.

It was not until a year ago that I discovered that one my false ideas which was that vegetarian diets are healthy diets. It's amazing how much ignorance we have and it's just good luck that mostly our ignorance is non-fatal, even if often financially and otherwise punishing. We think we're doing okay, then find that we were making a huge blunder.

No wonder people have evolved to have big brains to help cope. Unfortunately the big brains enable even more complexity and confusion so the challenges become continuously bigger and more numerous. The process continues. Understanding the modern world is impossible. The best we can hope for is to twiddle with enough of the right dials to keep body and soul together. For a while anyway.

But it's still a heck of a lot better for 7 billion people than it was in those simpler and not so idyllic times of 3,000 years ago when populations were small and life was simple, if short and brutal, on average.

Bring it on. Meanwhile, down with vegetarian madness.
