This is why trying to "create" demand by distributing taxpayer dollars to people fails each and every time it is tried. This action is one that results from a most basic misunderstanding of economic basics. If you want to create growth you incentivize capital spending and R&D (innovation forms the seed for economic growth) which lead to increased production and sustainable economic growth. Node, you are missing a big issue here, the difference between truly creating growth according to a real plan or kicking off an instantly visible straw fire to be being celebrated on the spot by the media and all other leftists as real "growth"! Doing it the right way around, while being investing meaningfully in true future growth, the results don't show instantly but - what's worse - possibly will be credited to and celebrated by the next administration only!!! Throwing cash at the masses always looks good right now and here and thus benefits me POTUS and my current administration right now and here! /Taro
