There were like 20 civilians who were packing in Dallas, protecting their 2nd Amendment rights, so to speak. Why did they all ran away when the shooting started? You'd think that 20 good guys with guns could stop one bad guy with a gun before the police showed up, even if the police were already there. Do you think each gun needs to come with a free mini-La Pierre to inspire the troops to stand fast?
