You will always make more money buying puts, if the stock drops big and immediately. You make money by selling naked call even if, the stock does not go down or goes up a little. Obviously you should keep a buy stop[mental], just as you would on a short. The risk in shorting
or naked call is much higher than buying puts, but the odds are with you selling calls.
