It's an (up to) 1 day (Prime Day) deal. The last time it was offered at that price I bought one for my wife for her June birthday but I ordered the 'without special offers' version at $15 additional and added a 32GB smemory card for $11.87 (total $60.20). She now has two 7" Fires and can use the 2nd while the 1st charges. I also have a 7" Fire tablet with Bluetooth keyboard and case. Neither of these older 16GB models allowed extra storage. The 8GB with special offer stock is now 24% claimed and the 8GB without special offer stock is 6% claimed. - Eric L. -
