My primary experience was with a guy, an engineer, who was Cuban-American. During the day of the equal opportunity employment law we were, at one point, instructed to compile a list of all the people who worked for us that had Spanish surnames...... This man learned of it and came to see me privately......he told me that he knew what we were doing and that he didn't want his name included on that list....name was Martinez...he said he didn't want any special considerations. I honored his wishes and he confided in me to the point that would explain what you and I are talking about. I still have a visual memory of our meeting....
