Gary,
Like I said, I have yet to put a pencil to paper to try to pound out any real number for Q1. There are other factors that I/we need to consider as well as the Chinese New Year including, Margin changes,
if the workers are working the same or less hours (unit production), is there any impact on current operations due to construction of new space (major shutdowns for power etc.). and other questions as well. My lack of concern for getting down and dirty on the numbers have been for a couple of reasons. 1) Radica is obviously going to be well above 97' (even at 0.35 in Q1) and 2) my inlaws are still here from well before chritmas.

David,
I am not sure if or how much you can help us out here. I am sure there is a line that you can not cross but can you clue us in on
1) Was the number of workers in Q1 97' about 950 ( if my memory is correct), or something else.
2) Are the shifts for this Q1 currently operating at levels (hours/wk) close to Q1 97'. or did the manhour load carry over with Q4.

We seem to be getting carried away with putting numbers out at an earlier then usual rate. Radica must operate its crews differently at different times of the year. As seasonal as every other part of your operations seem to be, I would think that could be the case in not just crew size but also hours worked.

Thanks for any help you can lend without crossing that line of forward statements.

Best wishes,
Wayne
