Here's another tax question: Suppose you own some stock with a paper loss. You buy MORE stock today at a lower price than what you paid for the original stock. Can you sell the higher priced stock on Jan. 2 and take a loss, keeping the stock you bought today, without it being considered a "wash sale"? Betty
