C-man, others - We need to know why they are dropping CMC. I smell maybe a quality and certainly a management problem - not based on any data, but merely on the terminology of 'severing the relationship'. That to me means irresolvable problems that Micron is unwilling to work through with CMC. There could be a product problem, and the CMC mgmt could be intransigent with respect to fixing it. Usually a buyer will work with a supplier because it is tough to start up with a new one - precious time-to-market is lost. Were I another customer, I would be very leery to jump in where Micron has "severed".

But maybe there is another simpler explanation - less demand for Micron products. But were that the case, wouldn't Micron simply cancel or reduce an order, not sever the relationship?
