Freddy-I reread all the posts and I don't see how you can argue with Alexa's statements. She states clearly that atrocities have been committed under the banner of Christianity by man and that's just- unfortunately- true, just as they've been carried out under many other banners-religious, political, ethnic. The concept of Christianity is lovely; the reality as it has been implemented by man often falls severely short of that ideal. You can't redeem or erase the past by not facing it directly or by attacking Alexa's character and I don't see why you would. Why wouldn't you just say-"yeah-people sure did some lousy things claiming they were acting in Christ's name"? Just curious, amicus carus
