Now that the "tax selling" is ending I would guess it's time to look at the other end, SHORT COVERING! If I were short, I wouldn't want to cover until next year for "tax reasons". Well This Friday is next year. This might explain the recent extra work by certain shorts who are trying to keep us from buying before they get to cover. I think this may be the last chance to buy (assuming the earnings are as expected) before the shorts start buying Friday and kick off a nice rally.
