Please put your argument to the thousands of corporations that have selected windows over all the superior alternatives. Innovation always gives way to imitation. The Japanese have competed your quaint view into the Stone Age.

Your Corel example completely misses the point. The point is that cheaper generates more revenues so that more R & D can go into improvements in later copies that are sold cheaper. More expensive goes into the pockets of the indolent few.

There's no correlation between the cost and quality of medical care presently. You need a free market to get those in line.

Airlines that cost a little more aren't safer. You sure don't know FAA stats but you represent the attitude of the manipulated mass nonthink.

When you work around cheaper's inadequacies, you get to know all about the product's internal workings. The fear of the black box is reduced. You never lose by learning all about how something works. More expensive just wastes money because there is no long term in technology.
