Kumar.....I checked with my sources and heard similar things.....they have had pushouts this quarter (6 months or more), but they have enough flex in the backlog to make up for most of the pushouts.

However, from what I understand, AMAT is starting to dig in it's heels for a couple of slow quaters in 1998.

AMAT may meet this quarters earnings, but I strongly suspect that we will here cautious words for the next two quarters.

And if history repeats itself....in 1996 AMAT stock started correcting before the industry admitted that we were headed for a slowdown. However, once AMAT admitted it...the stock fell to it's lowest for the period. Question is......we have already corrected alot, but AMAT is still sticking with the story that all is well...will we see more downside if AMAT announces that the next couple quarters look weak??
