If you appeal to the masses you can draw the masses.... If Huey Long had lived to run in 1936 he would have filled football stadiums.. The guy that ran in 1968 drew very large crowds (can't remember his name now). Crowds at your appearances don't really mean votes. If they did Bernie would have gotten a lot more votes than Clinton, but as it turned out, Clinton got a lot more votes than Bernie... Bernie was never a serious candidate.
