This is why I think the folks on this thread do what they do.
It is copied from a book I just read -

"Even unsophisticated and under-resourced terrorists could threaten EMP attack by mating a small nuclear device to a SCUD missile - or other missile of simple design - and mounting the missile and payload to a small freighter.

Heck- the terrorists wouldn't even have to come across the border to pull something like this off! They could do it from almost any freighter ship just of the coast of the USA...especially the gulf of Mexico.

They'd only need to a be a few miles off the coast...and they could shoot the missile right up into the sky - virtually in a straight line - which makes interception a whole lot harder.

That's scary enough...considering that a single EMP attack could result in a domino-effect collapse of the grid across the country. But what if there was a coordinated attack from all three coasts? What if terrorists shot three of these all at the same time?

The results would be devastating... the damage incalculable.

The American lifestyle would cease to exists in mere moments. Out lives would be turned upside down in a heartbeat."
