If Trump was a smart man or if he wanted to win, he'd be treating Cruz's speech as a virtual endorsement. After all, he refrained from saying a negative word about Trump and he asked people to vote in November. And to vote their conscience.

Only people with a bad conscience about voting Trump could object to that.

But Trump isn't a smart man or he doesn't want to win. Take your pick.
