Only by declining the invitation to speak. I have to say I dreaded him speaking because I knew he wouldn't endorse the dog crap candidate and the Trump cultists would go crazy. Something tells me Trump would have launched an attack on him anyway. As he has Kasich and the Bush family who stayed away too. Trump doesn't want to be President and WANTS to divide the party as much as possible. I expect Trump to show that further tonight - which is ironically supposed to be a night devoted to the theme of unity. But we'll see if my opinion of Trump is accurate or not. I'm going out on a limb here, but I think I can count on Trump to live down to my low expectations.
