While he might not approve of what he was doing, he was running a business and is realistic about what had to be done. I used to do accounting for an attorney. I kept coming across checks payable to judge's campaigns. I asked her, WTF are you doing? She said they are small checks, but these judges remember every one of them. Was that even legal? Ethical? Doesn't seem like it. But she got results and that is what mattered.
