Hi All
Cathy! If You will get this "Club" established, will I also be invited? I was also unhappy to see CNTR ended a 1997 this way, but again yesterday, when I started to calculate how much tax I must pay for 1997 and then finding out, that I have loosed nearly 40% of my investments on NASDAQ stocks, I was very happy. Otherwise I had to sell my investments for paying taxes, because proffits from my own company have been good. When I started the investments (late september), the NASDAQ index was rised from 1200 to 1700 (41%). Normal yearly rise will be around 20%. I was then not listening my logic and hoped, that maybe US economy will start to make miracles. Year ended with index 1450. So I have lot's of expectations to 1998, based on same logic and I will be very surprised, if those will not happen. 1. CNTR will rise to my expected level ($7-$10). Maybe analyst expectations to $0.44 EPS is too ambitions (this means $15/share), but sure things is, that Centura will report revenues up on every Q, as this year they reported revenues down. For Centura management, they have much to do, so I can only wish them a strength. 2. Real Networks (RNWK) will be most hot internet stock in 1998. 3. Analyst for Broderbond (BROD) are wrong. Riven is not a one month hit, it's evergreen product. I (and other fan's) purchased it on release date, but all my friends have purchased this much later (which shows on next Q results). I haven't even yet finish my article about Riven. Will be very surprised, if BROD won't go over $50. 4. Best Software (BEST) will rise also it's expected level $15. It's somehow undiscovered stock inside Client-Server business application companies.
This was mainly a list of my profolio.
Max! There are diffrent kind of stocks in market. You can't use the 10% level on very volatile stocks, but in MSFT, ORCL or IBM it's good point. This logic saved me a ORCL disaster.

My best wishes to all on 1998. |
