Jon, your restatement changed the meaning of what I said. Period. Either you lied or you have a comprehension problem. Either way, in my estimation at this point your comments without directly quoted & linked references lack credibility.
>>At least you now admit that it is not one, and that is a useful fallout from this discussion.
...and said so in contexts that imply that it is somehow unique in that ability..<<
Your assumption that I ever claimed it was one is one of the reasons you lack credibility. I also never created such contexts. Go re-read my post. Clean up you act.
You must not watch much TV or see any print ads. You expectations of press and media, as I said before, are naieve and extreme. The examples of stretching meaning in words or pictures are too numerous to list. In fact, check the inside back cover of every issue of Consumer Reports. They list the ones that readers send in that go over the line to the point of contradiction.
Per Sun: Write Once Run Anywhere.
What do they run?--bytecode. Anywhere. Complain to Sun, they defined "run", not me. Are they lying too? By your definition they are certainly fibbing and trying to confuse everyone.
Like I said, check you references. I never said "executes". For your convenience, post 4057: "Just a reminder. Since the PSC1000 runs Java bytecode, anything written in Java for Sun's Java chips will run on the PSC1000. Tools, applications, libraries, etc..."
I'm getting very tired of being misquoted...
Jon, you obviously have an adgenda, even if you aren't aware of it, as you constant put words or meaning that aren't there into others actions. What a sad way to see the world.
